Training centers on production floors from day one, with three core specialisations structured around camera craft, script staging, and post-production rhythm.
Film Direction
Applied Cinematography
Screenplay and Staging
Directorial staging, actor blocking, scene rhythm, and shot-list execution under veteran guidance through three short film cycles on Mumbai soundstages.
Hands-on lighting setups, multi-camera rigging, optical focus pulling, and anamorphic composition using industry-grade cameras and tungsten grids.
Script drafting, dramatic scene architecture, character dialogue pacing, and conversion of page narrative into executable shooting call sheets.

Director Sudam Waghmare
Veteran director of 'Utarand' and Marathi feature films, Sudam Raghunath Waghmare established NSDN Academy in 1990 to train filmmakers through direct on-set apprenticeship rather than theoretical lectures.
Each student works directly alongside Director Waghmare to review script revisions, blocking plans, and rough cuts before submitting films to festivals.
Discipline Precedes Cinema Magic
Our students hold cinema cameras on day one, mastering optical focus, set protocol, and collaborative rhythm on active soundstages.
